55 Years and Counting…
ITS is celebrating 55 years of being in business today!
In 1968, the world seemed to be in turmoil much like today, but that didn’t stop John and Ann Marie McGaffey from fulfilling their entrepreneurial dream and spirit and starting this great company.
John was a pioneer in the machine tool design business in SE Michigan and held himself and his employees to very high standards and expectations. One could easily tell a “JDMC” mechanical drawing by its lettering and attention to drafting details and standards. John added spare part catalogs to the company’s portfolio and created a market where there wasn’t one before for his biggest customer at the time.
In 1993, Keller McGaffey acquired the business from his father and through his vision and maximizing the new technology of CAD, software enhancements and printers, ITS launched into another growth phase of creating CAD 2D and 3D designs along with starting one of the very first ECPL safety signage companies in Michigan in 1996. 
In 2000, ITS transformed itself into a documentation and training company and has been the leader in OEM documentation support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies, not just in the United States but all over the world.
In 2019, Doug Maguffee was promoted to President of ITS and along with Amy Seymour, Director of Operations, and the entire team at ITS, ITS is poised for more growth in the coming years.
ITS has some of the industry’s most innovative, solution-based products and reduce downtime in any manufacturing setting. While utilizing QR codes, the Microsoft HoloLens and some other very exciting products, we are confident we are on a path of growth, innovation, and progress for another 55 years!
John started a company that was focused on his crafts, his people and his customers….fast forward and ITS is still focused on those attributes through our 4 pillars of self-awareness, heroism, ingenuity, and love!
